Justice & Equity

Sesheta weaves together her varied experience to help organizations center social justice in their work. Collaborating with those willing to do the difficult work, she uses grassroots techniques and tried-and-true methodologies to guide organizations in transforming the walls of systemic injustice into a road of restoration. Walking this road will require accountability, acknowledgement, allyship and the willingness to be a catalyst for change.

With decades of non-profit experience and 15 years working in Museums, Sesheta is committed to bringing tangible change to our communities. At the end of 2020, she decided that she could best do this work from outside of organizations. In her last museum role, she led the Diversity, Equity, Access and Inclusion (DEAI) work for 6 years. Sesheta has presented on DEAI at the Museum Association of New York’s Great Camp Sagamore, as part of a panel on Building and Nurturing a DEAI Committee for the Cultural Competence Learning Institute’s webinar series and at the Association for Technology Centers New Frontiers annual conference.
